How to change between Seller Central and Amazon Selling Partner API for the Hazmat and Restriction checker on AZInsight?
To use the Selling Partner API, you will need to complete your Amazon Integration with AZInsight.
To change the source of the Hazmat and Restriction Listing data, follow the steps below. If you need to continuously check multiple ASINs, selecting the Amazon Selling Partner API will be the best option for you.Please keep in mind that both options available provide information directly from Amazon.
- Locate the AZInsight Settings on the top right corner of the extension, the icon looks like a cog
- Click on it and select View Layout
- Once there, under "Hazmat and Listing Restrictions Source Selection" select the "From Amazon Selling Partner API" to use the Selling Partner API or "Seller Central" to use Seller Central as source option and hit the Save button
From Amazon Seller Central: Offers general information about the different Hazmat Status from Amazon but tends to be slow and requires login to Amazon Seller Central.
From Amazon Selling Partner API: Fast and provides more information on Hazmat products but will only show if the ASIN qualifies as Hazmat or not. This method does not requires login to Amazon Seller Central
